This day will give you the best chance of finding out for yourself the real, traditional way of the life in the villages and to be overwhelmed (because we are sure you will be) by the amazing hospitality of the village people and the added bonus of visiting the capital city of ancient Lycia. Your first stop will be Xanthos where your guide will take you around the extensive excavated ruins including two extraordinary pillar tombs dating back to the 4th and 5th centuries, a large theatre, acropolis, and mosaic floors. Next stop is Islamlar village to a Trout farm for lunch after which you will be transported to Bezirgan village where your host family will welcome you into their home. While you are relaxing with your drinks the horses will be made ready for you to ride horseback through the village and the fields. Fear not, the horses are small ponies and are led by a guide. Next stop will be the village Mosque a sight definitely not to be missed in Turkey. Ladies are asked to bring scarves to cover their heads when entering the Mosque.
