A Tour of important Lycian sites and a cruise all in one day! Your first stop is Myra, an important member of the Lycian league, set into a hilly outcrop. Here you will be able to explore the well preserved Roman theatre and a amazing network of rock tombs cut into the cliffs. After you have had time to marvel at these excellently preserved ruins you will have lunch in a local restaurant. Next you will board the boat and sail over to the sunken city of Kekova. The boat will then anchor in the small, attractive harbour of Kalekoy where the ancient city of Simena, with its castle stands above the village. It is definitely worth climbing up through the village to see the fort and the charming, tiny theatre which claims to be the world's smallest set near to the summit. The views of the area from the summit are of the huge sarcophagus so typical of Lycia, scattered about the hillside. On the way back to Kekova there will be the chance to have a swim in a small cove. A visit to the church of St. Nicholas can be put on the programme upon request.
