This exciting day combines a visit to Tlos, one of the ancient Lycian cities, with the adventure of discovering a truely natural, beautiful site and the hidden canyon of Saklikent. Your first stop will be Tlos, found in a charming setting high over the Xanthos river and valley. Here you will have the opportunity to explore the theatre, acropolis fort, baths with seven arched windows and unusual cliff tombs... Your guide with his knowledge of the area will tell you all about the history, life and culture of this wonderful site. .
On arrival at Saklikent canyon you will pass through an Indiana Jones style bridge before actually getting into the magnificent 17 km long canyon for an afternoon of adventure and fun. Don't worry you don't have to go the whole 17 km. You will enjoy lunch along the refreshing cool stream flowing with trout and beautiful plane trees. This scene is beautifully inviting for a wonderful lunch of that fresh trout and gozleme (borek).
Now a bit lazy we head towards Patara where the painted ceramics founded in the acropolis prove that the city existed in the 5th century B.C.
