OPTION (A) - Kinidaros to Engares via Agios Artemios
Medium / Hard walk
We commence at the village of Kinidaros and after ascending for a while follow a track down into the lush valley which ends at Engares. The wander route follows the Xerotakari river and you can often see crabs, eels, frogs and turtles at certain places in the river and its pools. Depending on the season various flowers, herbs, shrubs and trees can be seen. The route passes several deserted water mills, an olive oil mill, line kiln and the 18th Century Church of Agios Artemios and nearby monastery. The walk ends at a taverna in Engares village where you can enjoy an optional drink before we take our transport home. We have several opportunities to rest in shady places during the walk through the valley. You are strongly advised to wear long trousers to protect your legs from the shrubs encountered on some stages of this walk!!

OPTION (B) - Dimitras Temple to Potamia via Sangri and Agios Mamas
Medium walk
After viewing the ancient remains of Dimitras temple we walk through the nearby olive groves before taking a track to Sangri. At Ano Sangri we look inside a fortified 14th Century monastery before walking through the historic villages of Ano and Kato Sangri. We then take a track to the abandoned 9th Century church of Agios Mamas and then on to the village of Kato Potamia. From here we use a paved walkway following the water course through the enchanting valley of Potamia ending at Ano Potamia. We stop at the aptly named Paradise taverna for an optional drink before taking our transport home.
