Although the island gets a bad reputation for being highly touristic we find that it has controlled the style of buildings to the traditional architecture. The natural formation of the Island makes it very difficult to build large hotels so it has maintained its natural beauty. Most of the tourists you will find are Greek which makes it an authentic tourist island full of local nightlife. When you want to get away from the main center of Fira the towns of Oia and the seaside are wonderful havens for evening as well as day.

Katikies Suites has similar rooms as Katikies Hotel and new complex. Katikies Villa is 10 mins on other side of Hotels and is an oldr complex that was renovated in 2005.

This is not a hotel, it is more like a private manor with the decor being an art lover's paradise, as well as personal service provided which meets the satisfaction of the highest caliber of clients. Although one large building encompasses five separate homes, everyone has privacy and lots of luxurious space in their homes.

Perched in an absolutely perfect location, the Astra offers a unique view. The hotel is a beautiful structure and the rooms are designed with the island decor. Combined with the fact the hotel manager, George, is the best ... well, one cannot possibly ask for more.
Closing season sometimes extends into November, so don't hesitate in requesting these dates.
The restaurant is lovely expecially for those nights that you arrive late. The rooms in the main section have been renovated in 2010 so has still kept the Greek tradition but with bright electric colors... Always not the wonderful Art through out this hotel.
