The Armada PERA Hotel, located in the "European" quarter of Old Istanbul's Pera neighborhood, came into service in 2013, after the restoration of the elegant Art Nouveau-style house that belonged to Ottoman Palace Tailor Paul Parma and his family.
The Armada Pera has elegantly-decorated interiors, with 20 high-ceilinged rooms, some of which have French balconies overlooking the city and the Golden Horn, set on five floors. It’s a short walk from Ýstiklal Street, and 10 minutes from Taksim Square, the arty "Tünel" district, and the metro link to other parts of the city.
The original features of the building have been preserved, with distinctive Art Nouveau furnishings, high ceilings with chandeliers, marble bathrooms, wooden parquet floors and oriental upholstery, as well as antiques. Even the Stigler brand elevator of the Parma Apartment has been restored and is used today, adding to the hotel’s ambiance that captures the European-Ottoman synthesis of the soul of Beyoðlu-Pera.
The hotel’s rooftop terrace also offers spectacular views of the Old City and Golden Horn, and is the perfect spot for refreshments throughout the day, and for evening drinks.
All rooms and suites at Armada Istanbul Pera Hotel come with TV, coffee and tea facilities, and marble bathrooms with rain-showers and a selection of fine toiletries created exclusively for the hotel by the city’s historic Rebul pharmacy. Some suites offer a separate living space.
Daily continental breakfast includes fresh pastries and bread, homemade jam, omelets, dairy products and fresh juices. The hotel also offers complimentary tea and pastries after 16:00.
