Reaching Petra Hotel, Grikos Patmos:
Conveniently located in Grikos, a picturesque and serene fishing village away from the tourist crowds, the Petra Hotel is only a five-minute (4.5 km or 2 miles) car ride away from the Skala Harbor, a five-minute car ride (4 km or 1.8 miles) from Chora, the island's capital, and a 70 meter (200 feet) walk from Grikos Beach. Some of our guests enjoy taking walks from Grikos to various locations on the island, which is only 13 km (or 8 miles) long. Our travel desk gladly assists guests by renting cars and motorbikes, or by calling taxis.

4- Deluxe Double Rooms:
A bedroom with a queen-size bed, traditional sofa and a spacious bathroom with a shower. All deluxe double rooms offer double occupancy, while one deluxe double room may be rearranged to accommodate a third person, with the third person sleeping in a sofa bed with a twin-sized mattress.
3- Suites:
A bedroom with a queen or king-size bed, a second room serving as a living room, and a spacious bathroom with a shower. All suites offer double occupancy. One suite may be re-arranged to accommodate a third person, while two suites may be rearranged to accommodate a four-person family,with the third and fourth person sleeping in sofa beds with twin-sized mattresses.
2- Honeymoon Suites:
Honeymoon Suites are decorated in romantic fashion and are dressed with hardwood floors. They include a bedroom with a queen-size bed and a living room – one honeymoonsuite in an open-floor arrangement and the second one in a two-room arrangement – while their bathroom is equipped with a hydro-massage bathtub. Both honeymoon suites offer double occupancy,the other honeymoon suite may be re-arranged to accommodate a three-person family, with the third person sleeping in a sofa bed with a twin-sized mattress.
The Superior Suite:
Superior Suite is the second best room type of our hotel. It consists of a bedroom with a queen-size bed, a second room serving as a living room, and a bathroom with a hydro-massage bathtub. It also includes a wonderful private patio with an outdoor Jacuzzi for additional comfort. The
superior suite can accommodate up to four people, with the third person sleeping in a sofa bed with a twin-sized mattress and the fourth person sleeping in an extra bed.
The Petra Suite:
The Petra Suite is the most spacious and ultimately luxurious room type of our hotel. It includes one room equipped with a queen-size bed and a second room serving as a living room. It is also equipped with a walk-in closet and two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a hydro-massage bathtub that can accommodate two people. The Petra Suite also offers a spacious private veranda with
loungers and an amazing sea view of the Grikos bay. The Petra Suite can accommodate up to four people, with the third and fourth person sleeping in sofa beds with twin-sized mattresses.
Room facilities:
All suites and rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, traditional marble bathroom with a shower, TV, telephone, private balcony, heating, refrigerator, hair-dryer, music, toiletries and other comfort amenities. All rooms, with the exception of one standard double room offer a magnificent sea view of the Aegean and the scenic bay of Grikos.
Breakfast at Petra is an experience of its own. Home-made dishes provide delightful touches on a table rich with gastronomical pleasures. Each morning, we will top off your first meal of the day with a variety of Greek delicacies made fresh just hours – or minutes – before breakfast.

Here, too, on one relatively small plot of land — only some 16 square miles — are two of the most resonant sites of early Christianity: the cave were St. John wrote the Book of Revelation, and the famous Monastery of St. John. Reaching Patmos:
For years, sophisticated travelers have been coming to Patmos to enjoy its fine restaurants, beaches, and quiet Greek island beauty. Patmos, frequently serving as the private get-away of Greek and foreign VIPs, has been left untouched by unwarranted modern-day growth and has been protected against mass tourism. It is this subdued atmosphere that pervades the island and provides for the most powerful ingredient of its attraction.
Patmos does not have an airport. You may visit the island of Patmos by boarding an airplane from the Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” to nearby Kos, Leros, or Samos islands, and from there catching a local boat connection to Patmos, for a total travel time estimate of 3-5 hours. Daily air and local boat transfers are available during April-October.
Another alternative is boarding a ferry boat from the Port of Pireaus in Athens, for a total travel time estimate of 7-10 hours. Daily ferry boat transfers from the Pireaus Port are available during April-October.
Inter-island boat connections from Rhodes, Kos, Kalymnos, Leros, and Samos provide for yet another option of island hopping, enabling you to combine your Patmos vacation with other island experiences. Inter-island local boat or ferry boat daily transfers are available during April-October.
Please note that Rhodes, Kos, and Samos welcome frequent charter flights from major European cities during the summer.
