The name says it all, in the middle of the town of Fira, which is normally not a highly recommended spot, but with the right accommodation, all the negative comments soon fade away. Staying in Fira at any time besides July and August can have lots of advantages. This is true especially for young people searching for night life, as well as for those staying only a short time, wanting to get to know village life and its shopkeepers. The decor here is absolutely Greek, with wonderful fashionable art, ceramics and sculptures displayed throughout the complex. The rooms sport wonderful coverings , and even simple objects like bowls and vases are chosen with an artistic eye. The rooms have been renovated from cliff dwellings and each room has its own individual style, some having winding steps down to the large bathroom. Rest assured that these steps are worth it, because so many hotels in Greece have small bathrooms. The complex is very nice for singles wanting shared accommodation, as many rooms have extra loft beds. The service is wonderfully attentive and helpful. Please note 'restaurant' is a cafe-snack bar but is open continuously through out the day and night. This is very convenient and often gathers a crowd so it becomes a fun place to meet people.
