With its clear white lines and bright splashes of blue, that give it an almost Cycladic feel, Villa Mahal stands in an olive grove on the edge of a steep bluff, overlooking the deep indigo of Kalkan's bay. The new additions have added suites with larger and exotic bathroms. The deluxe suites are the new additions so my opinion is that, if available, splurge on these rooms. The hotel is small enough to be attentive but give an informal setting to its clients. Beware that the sea is 202 steps down, with seaside platforms for sunbathing and a lovely restaurant. Depending on the night, the hotel offers fun BBQs at seaside or fine dining on the roof terrace with its glittering views of Kalkan. Its restaurant is wonderful not only for guests but for outside clients as well. Next door to Villa Mahal is the beach club of Likya which for an alternative to Mahal one can enjoy the beach platforms there as well.
